A. GRANT GERBER: 1942-2014
Grant was the founding partner at Gerber Law Offices, LLP. He founded the firm in 1980 and practiced law in Northern Nevada for over 36 years.
Grant received his Juris Doctorate from Tulsa University College of Law in 1978. Prior to law school in 1968 – 69, he served in Vietnam with the US Army. His last assignment was as a Captain and Green Beret with the Army Special Forces. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Brigham Young University in 1972.
Grant dedicated his life to the protection and free use of private lands. He lived like Gandhi, a lawyer turned activist who untiringly fought for the independence of his country and gave his life in liberty and love. He was always a friend to the Native Americans and people of other cultures and religions. He was as shrewd and political as Samuel Adams of Boston. He died like John Wayne, a folk hero with his boots on. His ideals and legacy live on.
